The -5v rail

the new ATX 12V 2.0 (24pin) standard doesnt use the -5 anymore...the pin/wire is just left out. So it can not be that important 🙂
 
Almost nothing uses -5 or -12V any more - soon they will both be extinct. Too bad, they are nice to use for playing with fan voltages -5 to +5 gives 10V, -5 to +3.3 give 8.3V, -12 to +12 give 24V, etc... Lots of fan voltages to play with w/o needing a rheostat.

I've had my Delta PSU for about a year now and it lacks at least one of the negative voltages - I haven't missed it.
