Probably because it shifts more weight to the rear on a hard launch and helps with the 0-60 and 1/4 mile.
I don't see what the front suspension has to do with the rear suspension.

Anyway, so either the 2011 MGT has massive amounts of torque at the wheels, or it has a very high center of mass. Wonder which one it is.

Its all about weight transfer... Combinations of soft springs either front or rear will really help with this at the track...

As for that second one being stock "yea right" it kinda hooks a little to good among other tricks...

I assume "Tuned N/A" means heads, cam, intake, headers, etc. No way that thing is running 10's in stock form with a tune.

I wonder how much cash they have to dump into these motors to get them to run 10's compared to something like an LS1/LS2, or the 4.6L 4V iron block. A lot of people rave about them, but for me it all comes down to money, and overall potential.

Then again, I'll be happy with a measly 350-375HP out of my ancient 289. Then again, for a couple grand, I can't complain. ;)

Weight shift doesn't happen due to the vehicle leaning or diving, that's a myth. The angles are too small to move the center of gravity much.

Think you need to explain that to a few drag racers... Only problem is they might not listen to well...
If thats the case then were does the weight go when a car launches as the front tires come off the ground...? Does it just vaporize...? One more question have you built and driven a real drag car and really understand how the suspensions work and what the different types there are...?

What he's saying is that the acceleration of the car causes both the weight shift and the angle. The tilt from the acceleration is a symptom and not a cause.

Think I understand what your saying now... But if the car doesnt tilt due to the suspension being to stiff (springs and angle of setup) then with acceleration very little weight shift takes place and in most cases you just blow away the rear tires... Soft springs and proper shock compression & rebound settings will allow the proper amount of tilt which shifts weight to the rear tires meaning they bite even harder and acceleration can be measured in a linear curve...

Both those cars are far from stock, just because that 10 second run was "all motor" doesn't mean it didn't have a shitload of work.
