Modern theory says we have "multiple intelligences" -- different kinds of smarts for different kinds of thinking. For example, some brilliant people are bad at math. And some brilliant people can't understand music.

This IQ test is NOT a measure of intelligence. It's a relative IQ test, measuring in 20 short questions how your brain likes to think, on 4 variables of my choice. Your percentages represent not how good you are, but rather what approach you take to thinking.

What a crock! I only want to take tests that tell me how much smarter I am than other people. :|
 
Well with this test it is not black and white, it explains to you that youre brain works in a certain way. It tells you that you are either more of a visual learner, more artistic, etc. You have to read it. It tells you if you have more interpersonal skills or are more mathematical... that kind of thing.

Being smart doesn't necessarily mean that because you are great at math you are smart. Nor does it mean that because you have a ton of degrees does that make you smart. That is the point. Everyones brain works differently... everyone has a different talent. Smarts comes in many different forms.

Not true. If you ever take the Mensa test, there are different things that they test you on.

I don't have great verbal skills, but my math and visual skills are very good. This test is flawed though.

Well, that I agree on.. I was kinda hoping that it would explain more.. but I had fun taking it nonetheless.

 
I went ahead and took it, but all of these tests pretty much say the same thing about me.

Your brain: 20% interpersonal, 20% visual, 120% verbal, and 240% mathematical

I call shens on the interpersonal.

Shens. You never took the test. All scores must match up to 400%, and there are no digits in the one's place for the results.
 
meh... i took the test and its very true. pretty basic stuff that i knew already... don't like/use math, more creative,etc.

pretty basic stuff though

not at all, nor am i claiming it to be a way to measure, i am just saying what they are "testing" is true.... and to be quite frank, i don't want to know my IQ.

I interpret that as you are a visual learner then. You are a "show me" kinda person.

Oh, I understand. I was just reenforcing that fact.

I do agree with you on IQ. There is no way it can measures an individual's intellegence. According to various websites, I have an IQ ranging from 127 to 137; however, this doesn't put me one step closer to discovering any major scientific laws.
