The 30,000 Calorie Christmas Feast

A New Jersey woman who hopes to become the fattest woman in the world got 30,000 calories closer to her 1,000lb goal with a festive feast that could have fed dozens of revellers.

WTF? Suicide by eating?
 
When I see ridiculously obese people like these with children, I always feel bad for the kids. I doubt this woman will live to see her daughter graduate high school, let alone grandchildren.

On the other hand, I'm amazed that people will pay to watch her eat on her website.
 
For some reason, I had visualized 30,000 calories worth of food still being a relatively "small" amount - at least something you could reasonably fit in front of one person. I guess it's because of all the times I've laughed at friends and their 1,000+ calorie McDonalds or Burger King trips. I can't imagine anyone fitting 30 times that in their stomach, even over a two hour period. When they listed off everything she stuffed down her throat, I was stunned for a moment.

IMO, this is someone that has been overweight all / most of their life, and at some point said to themselves, "Well, I don't have the willpower to lose the weight, so I'll just say that I'm happy being fat and try to gain as much as possible. Then I'll be famous!"
 
I seriously hope this woman is denied any and all medical care related to her obesity. Her kids should be taken away from her too.
 
Meanwhile people are starving on the street while this fat bitch stuffs her face trying to become the fattest woman.

Why do you hate to say it?

There are cultures in Africa, where the bigger the woman, the more desirable and beautiful she is considered to be. Here, many women will furiously try to lose weight for months before their wedding day. In those African tribes, the bride-to-be will be sequestered in a hut, where she is basically force fed whole milk every day, and forbidden to do anything that might keep her from gaining weight as rapidly as possible.

Beauty will always be a cultural thing. But as to this particular woman, I think the comment about seeking professional help for mental illness, is spot on.
