The 25 Worst Tech Products of All Time

That list is stupid and very biased. It's almost as if someone wrote it who isn't old enough to have used those services or products when they were new. I'd put the 5800 Ultra on there or the Williamette on there long before I'd put something like AOL or IE6. They sucked right away.

I hate AOL but it has no business being on there.
IE6?
I hate real player but it has no business being on there either.
Disney the Lion King CD-Rom? This list is just lame.
WebTV? WebTV was great for old people who didn't want to spend $1000+ on a PC.
The Zip Drive? Only an idiot would put that on that list. It might not be great now but back then it was a great way of moving data relatively cheap.

I think the author didn?t want to be known as a complete nerd. 😉

Good list, but Windows ME is numero uno here - Microsoft went far in admitting that it was, well, not as good as it might have been 🙂

And the Zip dosn't belong there at all - it's a good product. If it had been out a couple of years earlier and/or cost a little less...

I'd nominate Creative SOFTWARE - not the hardware or the core drivers, but all the crappy "extras" that used to ruin your day. These days they have cut down on that - Creative saves money and we save time - win-win 🙂

Iomega Zip Drive?

That should not be on the list. For a solid 5 years, the zip drive was the best way to transfer files between computers.

Just saw this online too. Laughed when I saw what #1 was.

I disagree with #11 though. I got some good gas Deals when that site was still around.
ANd how can the ZIp Drive be called a bad product? That thing was revolutionary at the time. I still have one.
And oh the Cue Cat. We have one of those on the wall at my old job where we hung up dead hardware. heh.

I can't believe how long my deathstar lasted. It was amazing...then the click of death began. 🙁

EDIT: Why's IE6 on the list? 😕

And Zip Drive? 😕

I had one of the first revision SCSI Zip drives, the ones that could only use SCSI IDs 5 or 6. It was a godsend considering I had a 250 MB hard drive at the time. 😉

What about microsoft windows installer? That garbage is the worst software ever? Or BF2CC for battlefield 2.
