Mariano got the loudest boos (other than Kenny Rogers of course). Good to know the league is still afraid of him.

Uh, the Sox pwn Riviera. That's all that matters.

Yeah, Sawx got a great closer too. Or should I call him opener because that's what he does to other teams :)

Comerica Park is sweet.

i've only been there once and i'm not a baseball fan, but it was really nice :)

i'm planning on going again at least a few more times this season.

I've been a couple times. The hot dogs @ the old Tiger Stadium were 10x better, but the park is a damn nice addition to that area, as is Ford Field!

I have to laugh at it's name though because you can attribute it to what America is today.. Corporate-America (Comerica).

Very true - and although it is a very fine architectural work, some of the surrounding areas aren't the best. But every time I go to a sporting event in D-town, I never have any problems and sometimes we park quite a few blocks away... ie. Lions games.

I'm glad the game counts this year again. Will probably be the only way the Yankees have home field advantage in the World Series this year :D!!

Is this the best the NL can do?

Starters are determined by the fans. It's a big popularity contest. So no, it's not the best the NL can do.

pretty much, or else ramon hernandez might've had the starting catcher role instead of piazza.

I think Michael Barrett would have been better than Lo Duca at least. Lo Duca's slumping and Barrett's been red hot.

another choice better than piazza. but as stated earlier, popularity contest. i think it was a conspiracy by the al fans to sabotage the nl team's and secure the al a home field advantage.
