No, those were just my poor old Socket A and P4's puking a hard drive or two, couple of M/B's, and a PSU that blew, taking a hdd with it. They all had to be re-built, so they show up like new. The old ones will fall off in 50 days or so. 🙂

Back at home :clock: ... and why do so many people drink way too much just before holidays? 🙁

OT: All the patients I took care of the past 9 hours were either way too drunk (most of them) :frown: or their accident/mishap was caused by someone inebriated! :|

Peter, just a note...I like to have quite a few, but in the US, it is now so advertised (and getting better accepted) that you have a designated driver, stay home or take public transportation. Not sure exactly how well it has worked, but over the years, I drive less and use a DD, or take public transportation, so at least it has had an affect on me !!!!

(typing after 8 beers so far tonight....buying computers and getting addicted to DC is way better than drinking and driving)

You would not believe this, I think, but not even one of the accidents/mishaps was related to cars: it was very slippery last night (you know frozen rain). People who were walking or riding bicyles got hurt - OTOH: in my city everybody rides a bike at any time of day and in any kind of weather. It is fun to see people riding in the teeth of a minor snow storm ... I have seen one bicycle rinding mid aged gentleman being blown sideways but being so skilled that he did not fall (he leaned precariously into the wind - like a sail boat) and continued moving on ...

However, last night it was very interesting to not that not one person was elderly or sober.

I was just busy moving the Opty mobo combo into my son's case and getting all that cleaned out. It looks like new! up, running, activated, all that good stuff. I even snuck in an extra 1G of RAM for him (too bad only .75G is recognized by the mobo. haven't checked if re-map is enabled in BIOS yet, but I think it is.)

So sing with me happy campers!

PS: MM, if you do the DQ6, I recommend the X38 version. It has the updated PCI bus (Also crossfire, but I am assuming you are too bright to suck into the dual Vid. hype... just get one really good one. :thumbsup: )

Ref 19th stats ,odd that I had a low day ,I shouldn't of seeing as I had the C2D rig running 24/7 last week upto yesterday.😕 Though I did notice it seemed to have a few problem WUs....

I feel your pain on the lost work. Yesterday and today I've managed to bork two work units. (both my fault 😱 ) I've been 'porting' windows installs between machines and swapping hardware around between systems.. (don't ask) and I just can't get the hang of turning these clients off without killing them. The only sure way to avoid my ineptitude seems to be just to restart the machine with it/them running. Cntrl^C = :evil:

But I think I've got a GREAT day lined up for tomorrow! :thumbsup:
