Here are the stats for the 54th day of the race in Folding@Home with Brony@Home
Stats are as of January 24, 2018, 20.20 UTC (approx).
The inter-team race stats are from the Folding@Home stats page and from EOC.com.

Seven days of the race to go. It seems highly improbable that Brony@Home would catch up ... They would have to produce 27 M points more than us for all seven days to catch up ... Both their and our production is dropping ... understandably. But we need to go on: it would be great if the race would produce more than 6.5 billion points in this race ...

Eight weeks behind us, just one more week to go. Do we have the stamina to keep our PPD above Brony@Home's for this last week, or don't we?

Can't do much about this myself though; I just keep doing what I have been doing, which is having all my GPUs at Folding@Home, and this little guy humming and spinning madly.

Stefan....do you have to feed that thing coins? Seriously, I know that some from OcUK have to feed their meters before leaving the house in the morning, so I'm just curious. :)

If I had to feed it coins, I'd have to feed it multiple times per day currently... No, I don't have the precise type of power meter that I linked to. They never made one which would accept bank notes :tonguewink:, so I am paying by bank transfer.

I just snagged one EVGA 1080TI FTW3 6696 for $820, and $20 shipping from EVGA !!!! I tried for number 2, but they said my limit was reached, so at least its good they are checking.

And I just snagged a EVGA 1080TI SC2 card for $30 less, but I was so excited, I accidentally clicked the next day air for $30 more. Oh well, I will switch out my FTW3 in the computer I am typing on, so mu new threadripper system will have a matched pair.

I just found out how I got this. they are only offering cards to Elite members ! I guess I am one he said.

Hey, Tony, I am selling my 980TI cards.... $500 each... Need a holdover ?

I'll be folding for one more night, and then I will be bowing out of the rest of the race. I should end up around 97th or 98th in points total on our team when I stop.

Once I take care of some stuff, I will likely help out by folding at night during the winter time a little bit in the future.

I actually wish that DC operations, would make a coin-mining platform, with their PoW being their DC project. That would, possibly, get more people involved, get more science done, and simultaneously create a virtual currency out of it.

PrimeGridCoin, anyone? Just some random thoughts.
There are a few DC coins out there, including GridCoin and CureCoin, but those require you to change your team. I just found FoldingCoin, which requires you to change your username, and presumably do 10 WUs to get bonuses again, but doesn't require you to join their team. I may try it out soon. :)

OCN set it up:
http://www.overclock.net/forum/55-o...me-team/475163-gpu-projects-ppd-database.html

Note, this database errs more or less on the optimistic side, because contributors tend to cherry-pick. Because of this and because of the wide variability of PPD between WUs, disregard all entries with small sample size. (Example: GTX Titan X(P) and GTX Titan Xp realistically have nearly the same PPD as GTX 1080 Ti, but are a lot better than the Ti according to the data base.) Furthermore, the database does not differentiate between Windows and Linux, although we now know that at least bigger cards are a lot more effective on Linux than on Windows.

There is a big dump by the Brony@Home team ... our lead dwindles ... we need more power!
Working on the stats ... see one of the next posts.

Edit: False alarm: the stats were done during an update.

The difference between the teams approaches 200 M points, and will probably pass this milestone within the next 24 hours.
The total points for the race is 6.116 B points - which is quite a lot of WUs ...
