That info is already in the (incomplete) guide.

As far as challenging Toms being too late....maybe...but someone should ask them SOON. All month long would be nice. (im at work still)

It just says make a disk, not how. crashtech's "rufus" link worked perfectly.

Thanks Tony and crash. Next to find a hard disk for my G4560 and try it.

We should probably create a new Linux thread, or use the guide thread I'm working on, for Linux questions, so as to not clutter this race thread for any visitors that may join or just drop by to check on us.

Less than 24 hours until go time! Anyone try contacting Tom's about racing?

And how do you make a bootable lbuntu USB from an lbuntu iso image ?

I tried several ISO to USB utilities and finally settled on Rufus. I am sure the Great Google can help find others as well. And Tony mentioned one in his tutorial thread.

Good idea. I will create the linix help thread, since I need help. As for Toms, who should talk to them ? and How ? Last year it was all setup by the top guns on both sides.

It starts in hours. Do we have "tentative" teams yet ?

edit: Wait, do I have my days mixed up again? It's not 1800 yet....DOH!

Let's hope petrus is doing well. If he was unable to get the data he needed on time, perhaps some slightly delayed screenshots can provide a basis from which to keep score. Data gathered at 0430 UTC.

I only saw GoStumpy that was familiar and iirc expressed interest, with a total score of 3,592,397

I just dropped by Brony@Home's page, and, wow, two new pages worth of posts, mostly new recruits signing up.

I am shy 3 1070s at the moment, but Thunder-Strike version 2 should live after this weekend is over.

More importantly, can you accommodate having Tom's tossed into the race later this month, starting perhaps next Friday at 1800? We are close to getting some front page coverage if so! :D
