I think I should invite him along with Wally (from TFNN) to the next fall photoshoot extravaganza and get him out of himself, as if he'd ever consider it 😀

yeah gf died, sister is dying... has no other close people... yeah that's good reason to be depressed.

Maybe this has been done already, and my job is blocking it; but someone needs to post that gif of Keanu Reeves on the park bench eating the pigeon. That was hilarious.

I liked him most in Street Kings. The Matrix was a great trilogy too.

the first one was decent. The second too were abyssmal. seriously. Considering that Matrix 2 & 3 must be ignored on the simple grounds that they were cinematic abortions (even worse than the Star Wars prequels, by far), it can not be considered a great trilogy. 🙂

Whoa whoa whoa. Comparing them to the SW prequels is way unfair. Now, when I first saw the second movie I was disappointed. But it is actually my favorite now. It has one of the best car chases, easily the best gun fight, a great soundtrack... I think everyone was disappointed at first but give it a 2nd chance. The third movie really wasn't bad either and as a whole it is still a great trilogy, certainly not anywhere near comparable to SW prequels. I mean, at least The Matrix has good acting.

actually, everything you said that you liked about it...is pretty much why it is so poorly made.

seriously, dude, it was wretched mostly because of the tedious anti-action. that's what that movie was: over-produced, tedious sequences of pomp, wretched color tones, pedestrian dialogue, and meaningless tripe. matrix 2 was a complete abortion. it actually gets worse on 2nd viewing, and more.

seriously, i watch movies a lot. i have to...not that's it's my job or anything, but it's part of what i do, lol.

good acting?

lulz

I don't understand what you mean by anti-action? The only tedious sequence was the cave celebration. Technologically it had the best special effects that any movie had, and they are still amazing by today's standards. The color tones were intentional, it was part of the movie series. The dialogue is part of what makes it awesome too. You wouldn't believe how much people went on and on about it when The Matrix Online was being made.
