Mine was stolen and recovered twice. It got so f'd up the second time that I had to get rid of it :'(

It also made me learn that wheel locks are worthless. I even had TWO different kinds on each wheel and it didn't do any good.

locks keep honest people honest. crooks will just tow you whole car away or get a tool that doesnt care if there is sides, locks or even bumps on it.

i know a couple old people sitting on a couple integras, one wont sell because it was his engagement gift to his wife. she was going to sell it to me for 800 bucks but he wont let her. the other the guy thinks its worth its weight in gold. they will cave eventually.

seriously? it was the '84 Jeep Cherokee (not grand) and it is the first SUV that had a unibody design. it is basically the grandfather of all modern SUVs.

the Elise, while it is a car that i would love to own/drive, isn't very revolutionary. it basically follows the same Lotus formula that was pioneered by the Lotus 7 and Espirit, low weight and moderate power. both the 7 and the Espirit are on the list

The real significance isn't the unibody, but that it was a small 4 door SUV that basically created that category.

How is it that the Jeep and Explorer made it on the list, but no Land Cruiser or Hilux? Those were legendary suvs...

im not sure if that list is supposed to read in this over that order since the 1992 camry is higher (lower) than a bugatti veyron, lol. the 92-96 camry is an awesome car though.

Not really sure about the Fiat 500, but I guess it helped define the Euro mini car.

how could any list of "the 100 greatest cars of all time" include the lamborghini lm002 and not the first cars with electric start and lights, automatic transmission, seat belts or air conditioning?

The list is the 100 greatest based on their impact on the American car market. Those 2 had zero impact on the US market. I think the Hilux is sold as a 4runner here and isn't unique or groundbreaking in anyway. I don't like the Jeep or Explorer, but there is no question they belong on the list.

The Elise? Really? What impact did that have on the US market? Americans may not be able to differentiate a good interior from a crappy one, but they can certainly tell when one is missing altogether. The Elise as a concept worked so well here that it spawned a whole genre of copycats like the....uhh, and the... well, maybe not. It's a niche vehicle that almost no one here cared about and no one else imitated.

I'm not sure how I feel about owning a car on the same list as the exploder and tarus and dodge minivan, the cherokee I'm ok with, the old boxy one not the new plastic minivan.
