Dave? Is that you?

edit: and just my $0.02, this discussion demonstrates the usual false dilemma fallacy so prevalent on the internet. The "conservativism" in Conservapedia is religious, not political, in nature. Granted, they would like greater political power... but their young earth creationism and bigotry are unlikely to be taught in schools ever again.

Not only that, but the majority of people who are actually looking things up on Conservapedia are not even religious conservatives. Most people who are looking things up on that site are doing it to get a good laugh at the BS posted on that site. I sincerely doubt that the page views represent what the site's target audience are actually viewing. They're much more likely to be just what the people who want a good laugh at the site's gross misinformation are searching for.

In the context of this thread, you may not use the term "shocker."

OK, you guys are retarded. Have you ever heard of a Google bomb? This is similar to that. A bunch of guys on a forum somewhere probably thought it'd be funny to push those pages into the top 10, so they all kept hitting refresh. Or it could be one guy with a script. I could write such a script in Perl in a minute and a half. I  WWW::Mechanize.

[sarcasm]No no no no, this is clearly what all conservatives are like, let's not lose sight of that obvious fact now that we have irrefutable evidence that casts a poor light on them.[/sarcasm]

Yes, it is funny, but those treating it as reality come across as pathetically desperate.

this pretty much sums it up. I hope no one here is clueless enough to actually think this is how all conservatives operate

that said, it does help perpetuate the BDS inflicted.

just for fun, I looked up evolution on there.

here are some highlights:

The fossil record does not support the theory of evolution and is counter evidence to the evolutionary position.[10][11] [12] Even evolutionist Mark Ridley, who currently serves as a professor of zoology at Oxford, stated the following: "In any case, no real evolutionist, whether gradualist or punctuationist, uses the fossil record as evidence in favour of the theory of evolution as opposed to special creation." [13] The fossil record will be discussed in greater detail in regards to why the fossil record does not support the theory of evolution and is decidedly counter evidence to the evolutionary position.

Creationist assert that evolutionists have had over 140 years to find a transitional fossil and nothing approaching a conclusive transitional form has ever been found and that only a handful of highly doubtful examples of transitional fossils exist.[69][70][71] Distinguished anthropologist Sir Edmund R. Leach declared, "Missing links in the sequence of fossil evidence were a worry to Darwin. He felt sure they would eventually turn up, but they are still missing and seem likely to remain so."[72]

and my favourite:

As mentioned earlier, one of the more famous alleged transitional fossils claimed by evolutionists is Archaeopteryx. Dr. Alan Feduccia, a world authority on birds and an evolutionist himself, has stated the following regarding Archaeopteryx:
? Paleontologists have tried to turn Archaeopteryx into an earth-bound, feathered dinosaur. But it?s not. It is a bird, a perching bird. And no amount of ?paleobabble? is going to change that.[84] ?

Creation scientists have a number of arguments against Archaeopteryx being a transitional fossil find.[84][85][86][87]
