Yeah, it makes it easier to a certain point (i.e., many entry level job interviews require a 2.8 or a 3.0 or what have you). You still have to sell yourself at an interview though. I know people who were turned down for summer internships that had .5 better GPA than I did because I'm 99% sure they said a) extremely corny things or b)inappropriate things at their interview.
You have to sell yourself. Thats' the bottom line. If they ask your GPA and you have a 2.8, have a reason for it (if you never had a job in college and just drank your way to your degree...make something up).
