First learn how the world looks like, the US is in a continent called America, Jugoslavia is in another continent called Europe. Then there is this thing Jugoslavia not being a part of the US.

So in no way is Jugoslavia connected to the US in any way, so why should the US ah heck in problems that have nothing to do with them, yes ofcorse to make the presedent look good on TV, people would vote for a presedent who saves some country on the other side of the globe but not for one who builds you new schools. What the US is doing in the Palastian and stuff is just to get votes.

I believe that Isreal and the PLO asked for our help in mediation of the differences. If they did not want our help,I'm sure they could have gone to Saudia Arabia or somewhere else or maybe the UN. But they asked for our help. We will always have an interest in supporting freedom for all of humanity,freedom to choose your own destiny and to be recognized as to who you are. Anything Clinton has done certainly could not have been to get &quot;votes&quot;. His politcal life is dead.

The arab nations aren't as willing to give Israel and I'maPhat bribes to solve their differences. Clinton was hopeful this could be done during his term so he can finally have that much deserved legacy I keep hearing about.

Peace and stability in that part of the world is a national security issue for every country on the globe who is dependant on oil.

Being that it is of national security importance, Clinton's diplomacy efforts where in the nations interests,not his personal legacy. If it where ,you would suggest it was a rigged result by the wicked democrat socialists.

Serbia doesn't want Montenegro to leave because that would leave them w/out access to the Adratic. Serbia has no access to the sea. Most ppl Montenergo want outta the Yugo republic (I think) and now maybe this new Serb leader will take a softer line. What I mean by that is maybe there won't be another war if Montenegro breaks off.

Getting Milosevic out of power is good news anyway you look at it. Good riddance and I hope things don't work out in his favor.

I have no quarrel with the intent (to help acheive &quot;lasting&quot; peace in the middle east). I do object to the amounts of american taxpayer money that goes into &quot;bribes&quot;, however. As for the legacy thing, I keep hearing on TV how Bill desperately seeks one. Yes, he's a politican and will cover the bases by doing something in &quot;official capacity&quot; to achieve his ends! I have the same objections to past presidents doing the same thing. They all seem to want that damn presidential library.

The US wanted to kick Milosevic out of power. As a matter of fact, probably the entire world wanted to kick him out. The US, the most powerful country in the world, wasn't able to accomplish this. At the end, Milosevic was kicked out by his own people. See the irony?

As far as Czar, comment is concerned, maybe the US has in the past put its foot in it, &amp; also interferred for the wrong reasons (Chile, Guartamala, Nicaragua, etc), but on the whole the world is a better place because of the concern &amp; effort of the US &amp; its citizens - look at East-Timor, it took Australia 3 weeks or something to put 4000 troops on the island, while it only took the US Navy one afternoon to put 4000 marines on the island, even though East-Timor is right next to Australia.
