I still get calls from people that I help built a computer 3 yrs ago. Now I tell them "Dude get a Dell". When they ask me a computer related question, I simply reply "I know nothin bout Dell's computer".

Yup.... Thats why I try not to do any computer building for friends cause I dont want to play tech support

I should have heeded the warnings from others about building computers for others..... Looks like the only computers im building from now on are for myself and parents...

Im sick of it...

Do what I do. Tell them you only warranty hardware and not software. So if there is a software issue they must deal with them and not me.

i built my computer on march and after that i built 7 other computers, 2 for my roommates, 2 for my cousins, and 3 for friends. THe only ones that bitched were the roomies. well i hate them anyways, so fvck em.
