That was some strong garlic

I had some garlic sauce with my pita from a local Mediterranean food place last night. As soon as I took the plastic cap off I knew it was going to be strong as a nearby tree suddenly burst into flames.

But thats ok I like strong and\or spicy flavors so I took a bite. I have never eaten garlic so strong it burns my tongue like the spicy food at a good asian restaraunt. So of course I finished the whole container.

So here I am 4 listerines, two tooth brush sessions, 4 pieces of gum, some coffee, milk, bagel later and my breath is still terrible.

I said 'Good morning' to my wife this morning at this is what happened 🙁

Garlic is one of God's gift to mankind. Was it a brand name sauce, or was it their own?

They could have scooped it out of a jar and put it in the common black plastic cup for all I know but its not something I've tasted before so I hope its their own

Mmmm garlic. Everybody has to be on board with good garlic. 😀

I miss the garlic fest in Gilroy, CA
wife's brother lived a few miles from the big processing plant. When she would visit him as a kid she knew they were close when it smelled like spaghetti. There was a nearby tomato processing plant.

Lebanese garlic sauce is the stuff of legends. It's easy to make, too. Garlic, lemon juice, olive/vegetable oil, and salt.

There are a few garlic farmers and processors near us in the Central Valley, sometimes the night air is filled with the scent of garlic and onions when they are canning (or jarring) something, not sure what they are actually producing. Strangely, all the garlic sold around here in markets is usually from China!

But yeah, if you get really strong (and fresh) garlic it can be hot like a chili. I sometimes finely chop-up a small clove and eat it.
