But I agree, i hate it also. Middle-click in MozillaFirebird opens up a link in a new tab, which is much more useful IMO

Well it is alot of work to actually move than little wheel.

i have little buttons above and below my wheel that scroll up and down. i almost never use my wheel anymore. i don't even have to switch windows using those buttons

Using the wheel on these forums piss me off! I have the forums set to the highest setting for "viewable replies". To see the end, you gotta scroll that wheel for like 3 days....

Middle click and drag is much faster. I use it too.
