That there turtle crossing the road...

I drove over (straddled) a turtle a few months back. Luckily he was right in the middle of the lane so no one hit him, and it was a pretty empty country road. Then I turned around and moved him to the side of the road.

Poor turtles.

I've read you should move them in the direction they were traveling, otherwise they'll try to cross the road again. Don't know how true that is, but I've always followed that policy.
