LoL, Dell has good service though, a guy here JUST TODAY was complaining of the heat his laptop was putting off, so a Dell guy comes TO THE COMPANY and replaces the freaking CPU among other things right there on the spot... WAY cool.. thumbs up to their support! but whole ad campaign thing is annoying.

Duuuuuude.....

You're gettin' a Dell.....and I am totally nailing your mom!

It's completely obvious to me from the way she says: "Thanks Steven!" You can tell she's said that before in a different context.😀

I was watching 20/20 downtown and I heard Dell's sales increased by 100% after those ads aired. I personally don't see how those ads would convince people to buy Dells but it's sure a money maker.

Sales up 100% because of Stevie??? It appeals to the younger crowd obviously, but I guess it also appeals to the older folks cause they know the younger crowd knows more about computer stuff, and maybe they trust that.

But for the hardcore gamers and other computer enthusiasts..... duuuuuuuuuuude how'd that Asus m/b with an overclocked XP2000+ and Swiftech cooler feel up inside your asss????

Yea, he was bangin his friend's mom......LOL

It's a rather ingenious marketing device actually. I guess when you can see it as such it either pisses you off, or else you get to sit in the sidelines and laugh😉

Their ad campaign was definitely a winner. I'm not fond of the guy, but I can see how it appeals to folks. The image he portrays conveys all sorts of things that appeal to the consumer (particularly the folks who would never think of opening their own computer). I'm sure their marketing team got a big fat bonus. 🙂

Whew . . . glad I'm not the only person that hates that kid. I recently bought an Inspiron 8100, but it was because I got a sweet deal, not because of that stupid ad campaign.

Whatever makes money though, right?

Edit: Of course, I also hate those Intel P4 commericals. 🙂
