Anyone have one of *those* songs that immediately makes you think of somewhere or brings back some memory.. Winamp just skipped to Mandy Moore's "I Wanna Be With You" and instantly I felt consumed by my ex-gf.. It is probably the most memorable song with her for me..

Songs don't do that for me, but certain expierences do, like if I'm driving on a certain road, with the weather a certain way, I'll remeber something that happened in a similar situation years ago, stuff like that....

Big time. Run a couple stone temple pilot songs and suddenly I'm 17 driving around in the fall again.

Btw a great "that song" is that song by Big wreck

For some reason, of all the songs that me and my ex shared throughout our 3 year relationship, Third Eye Blind's Semi-charmed Kind of Life brings me right back to when we first got together. It's really weird. Songs do that to other parts of my life as well. I can feel everything - good and bad. It's one of the reasons I love music.

Movies take me away and music brings me back.

I have lots of songs like that relate to previous relationships...
Cake - "Love You Madly"
Pete Townsend - "Let My Love Open the Door" (E. Cola Remix from Grosse Point Blank)
Sarah MacLachlan - "I Will Remember You"
Peter Gabriel - "In Your Eyes"
Fool's Garden - "Lemon Tree"

Don't know why I did it but I decided to play the Townsend song..now I'm all sad. :(
1 year after our breakup and I'm still hung up on my ex...

Any song from Sublime's Secondhand Smoke album will trigger memories of living in Redondo Beach after being chased out of my house by my then-insane dad. That album helped me out soo much.

Yes, one in particular does that to me: "Why" by Annie Lennox. Takes me back to the summer of 1996 when many good friends visited us during the Centennial Olympic Games. I fell in love with one of those good friends, Jessica. The combination of her and the good will of the games and the fact that I had just gotten back from spending 4 weeks in Germany, made that summer very toxic in a special way. That song just makes me wish for those better days, oh "why" can't I go back to that summer?

Ive got an experience to go with almost every song I have listened to (aside from the more recent ones of course) :) Multiple for most.

Some suck, but some just make me feel all happy inside. Which is why I love music so much, as without it, I might not be here today.

yes, songs do that to me.... Very powerful. Usually I remember where I was when I first heard the song. Gor example, Billy Joel's "For the Longest Time" always reminds me of Virginia Beach, cause I was down there on vacation when I bought his Greatest Hits album.

Heh yes.

The whole linkin park cd reminds me of driving to work in the snow last year.

Incubus - The Warmth is definantly *that* song to me.

Actually, "That Song" does bring back those sorts of memories for me... My ex and I went to see Big Wreck in concert. Great band. Glad to find another fan Skoorb
