It's intelligent though! It spells, "here at Mushkin, we design DIMM modules that actually FIT into your motherboard because their length isn't off by even an inch, thanks to our state-of-the-art CAD engineering!"

This may be a little off topic for this thread but have you folks noticed how RAM crazy everyone seems to be these days? I was reading in the Hotdeals forum about some guy that wasn't sure if 348MB is enough??? WTF's up with that!! Home system mind you. You have to love these low ram prices however.

Temptation, tell me about it. I walked into the store(Monarch, plug) today to pick up some generic pc100 for my brother's system ( Its his BirthDay. he's getting that and an MX so his NEC POS will actualy run like a P3). I had also planned on picking up another 128meg pc133 2/2/2 stick for myself. Fortunately, they were out. Which gave me the excuse to buy the 256meg stick. Heh. Now I have to leave like 12 IE windows open before win98se hits the swap file.

Jeeze, that's alota acronyms.

Yup, everyone is getting RAM crazy. I used to have 256mb(2x128mb) of PC133 Mushkin Budget RAM(CAS3) in my system, but last week I just upgraded to 512mb(2x256mb) of PC133 RAM w/Infineon chips running at CAS2. I really didn't need it, but it was so cheap. $230 for the two 256mb DIMM's. I'd probably have all 768mb of it in my system if my CUSL2 could take more than 512mb.

Just recently purchased 512mb of Mushkin ram, 1 256mb rev2 pc133 2/2/2, and 2 128mb same, but on "lunch special"I think was only $179. Now to find out that my current motherboard (Abit Bh6) only supports up to 384 MBs. Oh well, soon to upgrade when MSI finally ship their KT133a.
Pretty much purchased all that ram since I don't think prices will go down anymore.

i've had 256mb of pc100 cas2 crucial for quite a while now, over a year when it cost me around $250. Just the other day i saw two cas2 pc133 crucial 128mb dimms on the forsale forum , for a disgustingly low $105, so i had to have them. So now i'll have 512mb even though 256 was enough, but hey i'm average down my cost per megabyte. haaha

Let Windows manage your memory and add ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 to the 386enh section of your system.ini

I gave in to temptation and got a Rev.2 256MB module about a week or so ago. Glad I got it as there is a noticable difference in performance with Win2K. Doesn't have that sluggish feel that was there with *only* 128 megs.
