AI - no matter what everyone says, I still like that ending and it sure did leave me speechless...

That ending was the dumbest in movie history. All of a sudden aliens come out of nowhere and tell you all about this weird stuff? Uh, no not buying it.

They are not aliens, they are robots of the future, through evolution, they become highly advanced and highly intelligent.

Whatever, it was still the dumbest ending I had seen in quite a long time.

My vote goes to Requiem for a Dream... I would like to know if the book was worth reading as well or does the movie cover all bases?

A typical popcorn movie watcher not appreciating the symbolisms and artistic views in films. 🙂

Obviously you havent seen The Avengers, which I found the ending to be much worse than AI.

Another vote goes to Requiem For A Dream. Shawshank had a happy ending, Saving Private Ryan had a heroic ending, but Requiem goes down hill from the 1st frame. Not many more depressing and disgusting films out there more impacting than Requiem.

Actually The Matrix really had me on the edge of my seat the first time I saw it when it was in the theaters. Best 10 bucks I have spent in a long time.

I'll definitely agree, but for a different reason. The first time I saw it, I didn't fully understand it. It took, like, two or three more viewings to 'get' it all.

No I am not a popcorn movie watcher. I watch a lot of different kinds of movies. The ending of AI was completely ridiculous and had practically nothing to do with the rest of the movie.
