That Battle Royale movie is crazy!

Just saw the Battle Royale movie. The Japanese movie with english subtitles. There is some messed up stuff in it, but actually really good. Kind of showing how humans react differently in that situation.
The odd thing....those machine guns must have a never ending clip of bullets. And those bullets must be tiny pellets or something. I've never seen so much muzzle flash coming out of a gun where the kids can get up and run yet.
If you can get past the fact that a lot of young high school kids die, it's actually quite good.

That movie is surprisingly a fun watch. One of the few subtitle movies I can watch, mostly because language is unimportant, it's the brutality that is the focus of my attention. So awesome. 🙂

Aside from the obvious dramatizations, I think that movie is more realistic than we would care to admit.

Not that our society would throw a bunch of young people on an island to kill each other, but we are never far from that kind of nightmarish world. And in some places in the world kids as young as 12 or 13 end up killing their friends in conflicts they do not entirely even understand.

I liked Shogo Kawada. Dude was a badass.

That is an awesome movie. I haven't read the book, but would like to check it out some time.

The sequel though, doesn't really deserve to exist.

There are two fundamental types of people in Japan: There are the people that buy used panties from vending machines, and there are the people who wore the panties before they were put in the vending machines.
