Alright so I've been watching newegg sales to see what on my list has been up for good deals. I know there will always be a better deal but it may not be for what I want.

So far this is what I've bought:

G-Skill Sniper Low-Voltage 2x4GB 60$
2x ASUS VH232H 23" 1080p $310 then $30 in MIR
2x Samsung F3 1TB $100

Only thing I didnt get a deal on was the RAM but it seemed like as soon as it came in stock it was gone.

Piece by piece the machine is coming together
 
Be careful buying the parts piecemeal. They're likely to be outside of the 30-day return window by the time you assemble the PC. That means a manufacturer warranty claim which is much more painful than dealing with Newegg.
 
yeah the stuff im buying i can also get the 1 year extended warranty for. gives me a lil more piece of mind but honestly i just *knock on wood* dont see too many issues with the minor parts im getting
 
Roccat isn't from the UK... And UK isn't that northern :E

EDIT: checking their website it seems their headquarters are in Germany. Pretty sure the company is Finnish by origin though (their product names are Finnish words, among other Finnish references)

EDIT2: Well it seems to be of German origin. Weird though that they use Finnish references; maybe some of their design crew or sth is Finnish

I do like a lot of Roccat's stuff but I am def not in need of a headset lol and I like their thumb buttons on the keyboards....GENIUS
 
Yeah when I saw that keyboard with thumb buttons, I thought "why had this not been invented yet...?"
