So, did you get your diploma or what?
Implication from posts by the OP in this thread is that he wised up before getting fully suckered.

wow, that's a name I haven't seen in a long time.
I like seeing threads like this!!arcenite said:First of all, it's weird coming back here and seeing all of the same names.
I'm not sure how long ago now, 10-12 years maybe (wow)? Anandtech OT saved me from a pretty poor decision in the making. I had been 'accepted' to DeVry University, blind to what I was about to get myself into. I posted a thread about it, and in typical AT fashion, people were upfront about it being a diploma mill. I did some research and realized the error I had made.
Every once in a while I will read an article about diploma mills and am reminded of this. This time I decided to write about it. So, thank you.
And.. the owl thanks you, too.

<p>The arcenite I remember would never say thanks. Who are you and what have you done with the real arcenite? <img src="images/smilies/familiar/colbert.png" border="0" alt="" title="Colbert" smilieid="24" class="inlineimg" /></p>
Q. Who said, "I wasn't accepted by DeVry"?
A. No one, ever.
Yes, all true. CS Degree from Rutgers. Wasn't a smooth ride by any means, but I did it.
My significant other has played a large role in my maturation -- I hope you aren't too disappointed.
