thanks

i took swissair last month (to israel no less!)

it was outstanding. i would stick with swissair. airindia is pretty safe but according to aircraftdisasters.com any airline that is NOT in the first world has a much higher accident rate (i.e. something like 1 in 6,000,000 crash for first world airlines... 1 in 2,000,000 crash for third world airlines....).

think about all the crashes you hear about... most of them are for POS airlines in the middle of nowhere (i.e. today's air algeria crash).

go with swiss air. very good service.

Last spring break (around March), a buddy and I flew Air India to from Chicago to London. We also found it to be the cheapest. Security was as good as any other we've found, and overall, I found it to be pretty good. My only complaints were the food, and coming back from London, we were onboard with a flight full of people on the last leg of a trip from India to the US, which meant they had been on the plane for 18+ hours. Other than that, though, go for it.

Air India is India's flagship airline...

Yea, i assumed it's their flagship, i just could only find a few reviews on AI. Is it true that they show indian food and movies?

there's a pungent scent of curry when you get on the plane 😉

Do not fly Air India

Do NOT fly Air India

DO NOT fly Air India

I repeat, DO NOT FLY AIR INDIA!!!

You get the point? 🙂 One time my mom flew Gulf Air (from Saudi Arabia?) and another time my dad flew Emirates. Both say that these reputable Middle Eastern airlines are the best bang for the buck, and they treat you right!

Take it from someone who's actually flown on this airline. I had no real problems with them. However...yes, they do serve Indian food. And yes, they do alternate between Indian and American movies. It was actually kind of interesting. One thing I've learned about Indian movies: no matter what kind of movie it is (sci-fi, action, romance), the characters will break into song and dance every fifteen to twenty minutes! 🙂

I hate Air India!!! HATE IT HATE IT!

On the other hand the private Indian airline companies are really good like Jet Airways, etc..

Anyway I dunno about Swiss Air but back in the late 80s and early 90s it was the sh!t...best airline ever.

Right now the best is Emirates...really classy and great service. Also Singapore Airways (I think thats the name).

Also, Air Canada is GARBAGE AS WELL!!
