The ones doing the abuse are the ones that the sheeple voted for.

Really?

"It was the worst decision that I've ever had to make in my life, but I am charged with doing what's best for the 26,000 people that live in New London. That to me was enacting the eminent domain process designed to revitalize a city that's only six and a half square miles, with no where to go." -State Rep. Ernest Hewett, D-New London, former New London mayor and member of the city council who voted in favor of eminent domain.

And currently...

New London, Connecticut

City Council:
  • Jane L. Glover (D), Mayor
  • William S. Morse (D), Deputy Mayor
  • Jason L. Catala (R)
  • Margaret Mary Curtin (D)
  • Gerard J. Gaynor, Jr. (D)
  • Robert M. Pero (R)
  • Elizabeth A. Sabilia (D)

I was just thinking about this today at work. Isn't this really just them saying that what they did to Native Americans was justified because "it was for the good of the people?" So if you think about it, this decision is really just a couple hundred years late and now they are going to apply it to everyone besides the N.As.

Not directly, but if the House and Senate would grow a pair and move to impeach those certain five judges who wouldn't know the Constitution if it slapped them in the face, then we have a fighting chance of this country not slipping any further.

Then again, that would be seen as a political move, and we can't have that, can we?

This will not happen because we do not have ANY politicians that are looking after perserving the Constitution.

Not true, look into the Constitutional or Libertarian party....we are looking for smart people who don't blindly follow the Socialist or Christian fanatic party....

The problem is that absent an issue as divisive as slavery was in the 1850's a third party has very little chance of success in the US. The libertarians need to pick one of the 2 parties and work within it to move it to their point of view much as the conservatives did with the Republican party in the period leading up to Reagans election.

The Constitution Party emphasizes Christianity way too much for me to ever vote for them.

 for the LP though.
