And for those using *NIX, edit /etc/hosts the same way kuk said, dont know if this goes for Mac OS X too, but I suppose it should, considdering the entire userland is mostly FreeBSD based(AFAIK anyways).

FWIW, I nearly always take the extra few seconds to modify any link that I post to be a "forums" link instead of "suscriber" since I never know who will be clicking on it. ;) Even in my PMs to others, this has just become a habit for me - it only takes a couple seconds to do, and as minor as it is, I'm sure the non-subscribers appreciate it. :)

I do the same thing but I resent having to do it.

I usually just click on the envelope in the top right corner which is the "email this thread to someone" link. There will display the URL anyone can use... copy it and paste it as your link to another thread. All subscribers will be redirected anyway.

This way, any link going to subscriber.anandtech.com will be redirected the forums.anandtech.com server.
DON'T FORGET: Remove that line the day you subscribe to the forums!

This is just a workaround for us hardcore freeloaders ... use this if you know what you are doing.

Hey, this works great. Thanks!

Dunno; back before I was a subscriber, I did this, and I got the same old Subscriber Login page. It didn't seem to do a thing for me.:(
