As many of you know, we stuck the most recent spam post from them to the top of the forum and left it open for comments. We also subscribed up a few of the original accounts they started with email addresses at their company addresses to the thread, including some belonging to the president of the company, so they would receive an email every time someone replied to the thread.
It did not take long to get a reply. At first, he denied any responsiblity, claiming all of the posts were from satisfied customers, which they could not control, and he asked us to remove the thread from the forums. We replied with a list of every account registered from one of their company addresses and a copy of the email they sent to their customers asking them to post, here. We told him we wanted him to see how well his messages were appreciated by our members, and we said we would remove the thread when he replied promising to stop their spam tactics.
We did not tell you we had subscribed them to the thread because we wanted the responses to be honest. They were, and brutally so.
Today, we received Mr. Cheung's reply, including the promise we requested. 🙂
Now, it is our turn to thank to all of our forum members for harnessing the incredible power of the AnandTech Effect to help us keep our forums OUR forums. 😀

P.S. They got the message, and we won. No further action toward them is appropriate or requested.
