BTW, of those 10 system builds of mine:

Lab1 and Lab2 are out-of-service

Lab3 and Lab 4 sold by friends - current status unknown

Labs 5,6,8,9 and 10 are still active. (Lab7 was gutted and rebuilt with newer parts as Lab9)

You are about as funny as a heart attack.

Haven't you read the other posters comments since your first innane post ???

They ALL agree that I did NOT buy "bad parts".

As Ike0069 said earlier in this post about you "...anyone telling you that you bought "bad parts" either has no clue what they are talking about, or they are just trying to be "cool". For Chosonman, it's probably both..."

I concurr !!!

I was just being frank with you. But if you want to be beligerant towards me for my honesty be my guest.
Enjoy you new computer... What do you plan to do with your new system?

All that money you spent won't let you play games at any decent resolution or frame rate because you spent $550.00 on CPU, Motherboard, and Memory but only got a $100 non SLI compatible Graphics card. And the extra money you spent on the SLI board does nothing to improve real world applications performance. So I'm still puzzled by your choices.

Maybe the parts themselve aren't bad but the combination of the parts together looks bad. Also, what I said about low latency RAM is mostly true. You spent 2x $$ what you could have on RAM only to get a 1-5% difference in performance which you negated anyway with you poor choice of graphics card.

errr he needed 3 pci slots on an nf4 board.

OP, looks ok to me. personally i would have spent the extra $50 or so and got the 6600gt just so i had the option of utilizing the sli. but thats just imo.

I think he knew what he was getting when he bought the GPU. He only wanted to spend $100 on a graphics card, so thats what he got. As for the SLI MB, he wanted to buy a CPU/MB combo from a reputable dealer, and needed a certain number of PCI slots, once again he got what he wanted. And yes, low latency memory has less of an impact on A64 compared to CPUs without integrated memory controllers, but I would always want to pair some quality memory with a CPU that is likely to be an excellent overclocker.

All these things have been mentioned in this thread. He knows what he's got. You are beating a dead horse here Chosenman.

RISE, THANK YOU, unlike chosenman, for having READ this thread BEFORE posting. Yes, I needed an nf4 board with 3 PCI slots and had limited choices at Monarch when I ordered my COMBO there. Yes, I would have preferred the Asus A8N-E at $20 less but that wasn't an option so I figured the extra $20 spent on the Asus A8N-SLI would be worth it - even if I never use the SLI feature. Chosenman asks me "what am I going to do with my system? Again, he didn't read my original post; unlike MOST of the young gamers that come to this site and build their systems with GAMING as the ULTIMATE goal. My post in this thread referenced my ORIGINAL post over here in which said I do only "limited gaming".

Your opinion that I should have gone with a 6600gt was one I seriously considered but the cards I was looking at were running more like $60-70 more than the x700 I purchased and $60-70 will purchase the Hauppauge PVR MCE-150 TV Capture Card I intend on purchasing.

Thanks though for a decent post ! :D

THANK YOU Slitherydee; I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for all you input, btw. :D
