Well, duh. I have had a docsis 3 modem for over a year since you told me I would need it in a month or so. Still no docsis 3.

But, you are giving me more HD channels! Great.

Uh, Ovation HD? Style HD? The Weather Channel HD? Home Shopping Network HD?

I mean, wtf? How about some decent channels? I just visited NY City where they get things like BBC America HD. And you give me Gospel Music Channel HD?

They all suck really because it is the same content over and over. I got rid of satellite tv about a year ago in favor of OTA. visited parents who have cable over Thanksgiving and the same crap from a year ago was still being shown.

I get my next bill...not only did they raise the price, they charged me for two, citing, "Oh, that change is not for customers in Boston"....Hmmmmm so why did you include it in my bill?

FU comcast and your horribly compressed HD.
 
My sister in law had to come over to my house to do some homework the other night because she has Comcast.

I haven't had an outage with Qwest DSL in, let's see... I think five years. They're not perfect and it's not the fastest but I'll put up with slightly lower speeds in exchange for better reliability and a lower price.

Everyone I know with Comcast has at least one or two outages a year.

Oh yeah, OTA TV for me too.

I remember when cable tv systems were just becoming popular. They would charge you for every room in the home that the cable was run to, no matter if there was a tv in the room or not. It was considered illegal to install your own splitters and add additional tv without paying for it. They found out they couldn't control it so they caved in and dropped the fee.

HDTV came out and they started this whole , charge per tv thing all over again.
 
Comcast is the worst. We are thinking of dropping the cable TV part and using just the internet for TV. Problem is only high speed available is Comcast :/
 
I actually do wanna thank Comcast for one thing. I was at my parents' place last night and it got brought up that since my parents switched from Comcast to a dish (Dish Network I think) that they no longer get AMC. So I wanna thank Comcast for my ability to watch The Walking Dead!
 
Well, I got Uverse here, and we still don't have BBC America HD or even AMC HD... I Pretty much the only shows I watch are Top Gear, Dr Who, IT Crowd, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, and then some stuff on Adult Swim and Comedy Central (which are HD) ... So it's not just Comcrap who has that problem ....

my experience so far has been good also. i have had blast internet for 2 years now and got cable added in july for nice deal for digital premier package. they later upgraded my internet to 25mb\sec for free so i can not complain.
 
yeah, no HDnet or HDnet movies as standard package like other providers.

fuck comcast to hell. fuck them hard.

Dish has AMC in their top 200 / top 250 lineup, but not the top 100 or top 120 lineup. FX is in the same boat.

but is it AMCHD?

i seem to recall that Dish or DTV, maybe both, don't offer AMCHD as part of any package. There was much bitching during the Mad Men season.
 
The only channel worth watching now that The History Channel is the Conspiracy Channel is The Military Channel.

I want The Military Channel and my WW1 footage in HD damn it! Go back and refilm it all if you have to.
