Hehe, yeah, you might be able to guess, both from remembering which avatar mechBgon uses and by looking at the OP's name, what avatar is was before he changed it 🙂.

🙂!

You're welcome and you can be a Cheetah if you like 😀 I made both the Cheetah and Wolf avatars myself, as well as about 16 of the others (some better than others, Dragon being the latest). I appreciate the compliments, thanks everyone! 😎

BTW, RossMAN is hooking me up with web space and bought me my first year of domain registration for www.mechBgon.com :Q which is where the guide will be moving to pretty soon. Consider this a plug for RossMAN and his site GottaDeal.com, thanks Ross! 😎

BTW, I noticed this before, but I think the shocked smiley 🙂Q) has a lazy eye. If you look closely, the two eyes' pupils aren't looking at exactly the same direction .

I couldn't have said it better myself.

There are two uber Elite AnandTech forum members which are legends IMHO.

Jokersmoker and mechBgon 🙂

Don't forget Pr0d1gy! He started the biggest flame war in the Video thread ever and ran a successful BF2 ATOT clan.

Definitely a good guide. I didn't necessarily have it open while i was building my computer, but I did read through it and found it very helpful, especially to see the pictures along with the text. Thanks, mechBgon.

Yeah, I looked at his guide and liked it.

But, after building a PC this summer and changing the mobo/cpu/ram/video three months later, I found this site: http://www.mysuperpc.com/ which I found very cool and informative.

Also, I'd like to add a tip to any first-time builder. Look at gaming benchmarks as the best case scenario. I have an extremely powerful system for the price yet in UT2004 I can dip to 38 fps although very briefly in a certain part of the DM-Tensilesteel map (community bonus pack map). On the rest of that map, I'll be hitting above 50 fps just like I do in AS-Convoy.
The frame rates in other maps are awesome. But, on most benchmarks you see using UT2004, you'll see great frame rates like over 100 fps. Sure, if I put the resolution down a notch or two, I can hit over 200 fps easilly in maps like Curse4. But, that's not what you want to look at. You want to be able to play ANY map at reasonable frame rates. In that case, my Duron 1.8 GHz and Ti4200 were not cutting it at all. That setup played UT2004 in Curse4 with great frame rates. The rest? Well, Metallurgy, Tokara Forest and Plunge were not acceptable even at low settings.
