SO my wife calls me at work toady and it would seem that we got a letter from SDG&E.

As an SDG&E customer from june through September 2000, You qualified for a Retroactive Rate Ceiling Adjustment Credit.

We will be getting a check for 188.00 in about two weeks. The best part is that with Davis incharge of the electricity the electric bills are low and the taxes are gonna go higher. I now live in MN (and have since Dec 2000) so I will not have to pay the higher tax rates. So all you californians know that part of that 1% sales tax and higher car licences will be going to my 188 bucks (that I plan to spend as unwisely as possible). I got the best of both worlds. I got the state madated rate but didn't have to pay the higher tax for it:D

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to live somewhere that has a great climate and isn't too expensive?

For smokers in Ca it's going to get even more expensive. There is a $1.50 a pack tax going into effect later this year making a pack of smokes around $6.75 in most cases. It's not just Davis and the Democratic Party, it's all Ca Politicos and both parties here in Ca that suck dick.

Man, I love Cali but damn, I feel sorry for you guys for the next few years anyhow.:( You've got the best of a lot of things, but, taxes and politics are like bizzaro world out there now. Just talked to my bro in Simi Val. and we were talking about all this too. Look at it this way, you still got the best of most things!;)

But....but......democrats vow to protect education.....right? I'm confused. Aren't they all fighting for the working man too? The working man who will have to pay more for vehicle registration. The working man whose kids won't get to take art or sports in school. The working man who will have to pay double the tuition to send his kids to a JC. Hmm....can't be blamed on the state Congress since it has a heavy majority of Democrats too.

A lot of the Fed income tax base from Cali never makes it back...goes to Iowa or Wyoming, etc. Not that I dislike any state in particular.

Not only does CA's taxation blow and our politicians flunked economics...we're getting stiffed at little by Federal allocations as well.

Oh well, I'm still smoking and drinking...Grey Davis can swallow my egg nog.

Wants to? He already has. CSU and UC fees have already gone up for the current quarter/semester.
