Thank you Cards

I got $50 checks form all my family memebrs for HS grad present adn now Im gonna make up some thank you cards. What can I say in them? Just like

"Dear so and so...thank you for your generous gift...I will use it for college expenses"?? any ideas?

That sounds good. Keep it short and sweet. Just the fact that you sent a card will be enough to demonstrate your gratitude.

Just use a couple variations on your original.

"I know it will come in handy when I need to buy books"
"Thanks for helping me meet my college expenses"
"Books are so expensive I know your gift will go to good use"
"I appreciate your generous gift and I will use it towards the many items I need to get for school"

Just say thanks for the money in a quick card, no need to lie about using it on college expenses.
