Finally. We had some storms in October which left us hopeful. We all got out skies out and skied powder for a few weekends. Then came the sun, and more sun, and more sun as a high pressure system sat just to the south of us. It got cold, but we didn't see any clouds, until now.

Snow is falling outside my door at about 8000 feet of elevation. I hope it pukes up in the mountain. This storm doesn't look like it's going right over the lake but we might get some lake effect snow off the edges of it.

I guess burning skies in sacrifice really does work.

Fuck BYU. Utah county should be walled off and labeled a hazardous area.

I couldn't agree with the two of you more!

I thought it seemed pretty late for the first snow in that area...I remember having measureable snowfall before Halloween when we lived there in the early 80's...but then again, I also remember it starting to rain the day after the big Mormon General Conference one year and raining almost non-stop for over 30 days. (as my dad who was Lutheran said, "When the Mormons meet, the Angels weep." That year it certainly appeared to be true...;)
