Thank God that Partial Birth Abortions Will be BANNED

I can see both points of view on this, my opinion is pro-life, but others have their choice.

do people believe that abortion is murder?

i heard a compelling argument that no one in this country actually believes that.

<--- Pro life liberal agnostic.

When a creature is alive, and has human DNA, it is a person. It is not a part of the mother, it is not a potential child. It is a person. A baby is just as much a human as an adult. A fetus is just as much a human as a baby.

Understand that if these, and I will call them children, were born prematurely, they would most likely survive. The process ensures this does not happen.

I predict that this thread will be 100 posts long and will result in someone getting banned😛

having said that, I am pro-choice.

what i don't get it is how people who think abortion is murder can still be for the abortion in the event of rape. just because someone got raped, you can kill someone else? not that i'm against it, i just don't see that pro-choice viewpoint as being very ethical.

Pro choice is choosing death over life. Why would someone want to kill a child or a potential child? If you lay down you can pay the price. If you don't want to raise the child there is always adoption. There is no excuse for killing a child that didn't ask to be created. Murder is murder.

Being pro-choice im still very happy to see that this type of abortion will be banned. I really dont have a problem with 1st trimester abortions but 2nd and 3rd I do... how could you be so stupid to wait over 6 months to have an abortion???

you know how rapists are at the bottom of the prison chain? there is a reason for that

I don't know about the other thread. I did a search and didn't find one. As long as this stays civil it won't be removed.

I am not for abortion in the event of rape. Raising the child would help heal the mother.

Not everyone agrees with you. Sorry.

<--- Pro choice conservative here. The idea of partial birth abortions doesn't sit well with me. However, there might be some cases (rape, etc.) where the issue of such an abortion could come up. Hopefully not, but I know it will.

I'd be interested in seeing some positive proof that this would be the case. I don't believe there is any truth to this at all.

Isn't partially birthing the fetus and then killing it safer than killing it in-utero and then extracting it? I am guessing that going inside the uterus with an instrument to kill the fetus would be a lot more dangerous to the mother. So I think this will result in horrible injuries and deaths for women, which is why I am against politicians writing medical books.

The main problem i have with this bill is that it uses the word 'never' which is dangerous. Although certain things have a low probability to happen, I don't think they should rule them out. Saying that this procedure is always illegal & can 'never' help decrease risk to the mother is just plain retarded.
