It's like when you have a heart attack and the doctor tells you to take it easy. "fvck taking it easy, I have to go get another job RIGHT NOW!!!"

What they may bill you and what insurance companies actually pay are two drastically different numbers. These numbers are negotiable.

Because anesthisiologists make $300,000 dollars per year, when they should make $75k, thats why.

Do you have any idea how much money they pay in insurance? They make one tiny mistake and they are sued their asses off.

Do you have *any* idea what malpractice insurance costs these days?

they just stick a gas mask over you and put u to sleep.

analogy:
lawyer = dentist = doctor
paralegal = hygenist = anesthisiologists

How much had she paid over her lifetime into insurance? (directly, or indirectly through her employer)

That is such an asinine argument and I would think after making a lengthy thread abou it, you would realize why.

Secondly, who said he even needed one? For starters, for $30k, there are very few surgeries that would cost that little.

No joke. My husband had a heart catheterization. In at 8AM home by noon. No overnights or anything like that. Cost $18,500. Cost to us - $0. And they've done it twice now. Both times just to tell us that his heart is healthier than most folks half his age. Go figure.

NO you should be blaming insurance companies for the bill, not saving you.

Doctors pay more for insurance now then ever before. Have claims or lawsuits gone up... NO!!! Yet insurance fees have. The same insurance compnay also charges more for heatlh insurance now.

The reason rates are high is because of doctors pay more for their insurance so that drives up the bills that drive up the insruance premuims for health insurance.
Did you notice soemthing in what I said. We pay more, doctors pay more, yet the only ones getting more is the insurance companies.

Insurance is the problem... not doctors, patients, lawyers, etc...

The lawyers and insurance companies certainly aren't complaining.

They should have quotas for lawyers...only a certain # of people per 1,000 are allowed to be lawyers in each district. Maybe that would stop the cycle of making endlessly complex laws to plug the endless loopholes that get poked in them due to the endless complexity of the legal system.

that would actually exarcebate the issue. Lawyers will be so highly paid, they will become more and more corrupt. Only the big cases (lucrative to the lawyers) will be done.
