Thai Food Suggestion

Scarpozzi

I'm going to go pickup lunch for my girl. She never wants to get thai food...and would never walk in a restuarant because she's heard that it's spicy and gross. I'm going to prove her wrong. What should I order for lunch?

I like Panang Chicken --yellow curry with coconut milk...

What else should I order that will help her decide that she's been wrong about it this whole time? Thanks,

-Scar

Pad-See-Iew (IIRC - its noodles, broccoli, and meat (shrimp = authentic, most people get beef or chicken)) Think of it as chinese "Broccoli with Beef" but with great noodles instead of rice.

If she likes peanuts and sweet stuff, she can go with the choice of first-timers across the nation: Pad-Thai.

Personally, I prefer Drunk-Noodle or Red Curry dishes....

I am facing the same thing with sushi. My work friends want me to try it, and I am very hesitant though I hear it is great. BTW I love Thai food, it's my hands down favorite.

To answer the question, summer rolls, pad thai (reasonably spiced, not hot), or fu soup. Almost everyone I have met likes those three.

Everybody likes Pad Thai.

Agreed. Although it is usually a little hot so she may not like that.

i would do pad thai with shrimp, ask for it mild though!
that sounds good! yum 🙂

omg your making me hungry!! I want Pad Thai now too. With some sticky rice and peanut sauce.......

I always tell people who are afraid of thai food to get the sweet and sour or some noodle dish. Or a stir fry dish with a mild sauce. I know many people who do not like Pad Thai. Really, your goal should be for them to like their meal even if it's bland and barely qualifies as Thai, but to then have them taste what everyone else is getting.
