This seems like a nice mobo for my upcoming rig.
Will probably get a p4 1.7(S478) for it and some samsung rimms.

Any of you guys using this board?

Please gimme some thoughts/pointers on my purchase.

cheers

I have one, with the Samsung Rambus (512Mb) and an Asus G3.

P4 1.7 Overclocked to 2.0Ghz

3dmark2001 score is Here

I need to get a better cooler for the P4. The stock unit will not keep it cool enough@2.0 volts vcore, which I need to get 2.0Ghz

It is around 46 at idle and gets in the high 50's under stress.

I upgraded from a P3@933, and the difference is incredible.

Just read the review at firingsquad, and i must say im liking this board.
Donno bout the chip yet..a 1.7 is nice..still its about 80$(roughly translated)
more than a 1.5 where i live.

Question is..Will it be worth the extra dough?

Im thinking i might drop the stock cooling and go for a home-built water(maybe pelt)-solution.
Shooting at 2ghz with it..

edit: typo :)

Looks like a great board. Just remember if you want to upgrade to a faster processor later this is a 423 pin socket and all new P4s willhave 478 pins.

I forgot to mention that ABit has a weekly contest giving away P4s for anyone who buys this board.
