I'd say it's pretty balanced by them not being able to headshot anybody.

So say a sniper has a full item set and gets the no headshots buff. If I shoot him in the head with a fully charged sniper, does it just count as a body shot, or does it count as a miss?

Neither. All the set does is prevent the headshot from killing him - so he's reduced to 1hp.

I picked up the croc headgear last night for the sniper but when I went to equip it, I had to ditch my beloved jarate.

Not gonna happen !! I play this game to win, and I admit to being a lousy sniper (I use the Huntsman) but as long as I get my bottle near you, I'll let the guys who know how to aim finish you off 😉

If the target has only 2 HP, will a Croc headshot take him to 1 HP or is it just that the extra damage a normal HS inflicts is not added? Also, does it weaken the head shot damage done by the Spy's Ambassador gun?

This looks like a waste of time, I remember TF1 when it was a free mod you could hop on a server and game away. It was fantastic.

Is Valve going to do this to all their games? Am I going to see a pay system for CS items?

AFAIK, it will take him to 1hp. Should be the same for the ambassador - less trouble for a spy there, since a follow up shot is much quicker then with a rifle.

Ya but I've only died that way a couple of times. Usually the spy is either caught or I can react before he kills me. The do get me with headshots every now and then, but I get killed way less when I have the razorback equipped.

I don't know what makes a server a noob server but I play pretty much exclusively on the iO 24/7 gold/bad server.

I've found the best counter to snipers anymore is a quality spy in their ranks. Razorbacks are rare and the new shield is laughable most snipers run with jarate. This new Knife has made the update for me. Kinda pissed because I traded for the Milkman and I kinda want the Fez now that Spy is fun.
