This only happens with my mom, every one else I text with comes straight to my phone. However on occasion my mom sends me a text and instead of going to my phone I get an email with the message and sender as "number"@vtext.com. Far as I know she didn't sign up for it, unless by accident, so any idea why some messages come as emails to me and others show up properly?
For whatever it's worth shes on an Eris (waiting on Nexus), which has a terrible antenna and at home the strength is a bit low. We won't drop calls in the house, but even my og droid struggles to get more than about 2 bars most of the time (Eris often reads as no bars, but yet thats enough to maintain service). One guess is that sometimes during these very low signal periods messaging must be defaulting to wifi and sending it out like that as an email? Which doesn't really make sense since I'm not registered with Verizon so I don't know how it would route to my email.
Perhaps this is a sense thing and she's just sending me a message improperly?
