Text Problem

I have Vista if it makes the difference. I want to put some text files in my computer for a project I'm working on. It isn't working and telling me it isn't going to work in Japanese text. What must I do to fix this?

You mean you want to put Japanese text in Vista? Is so then then here's the procedure (the procedures are listed separately for different versions of Windows, so just scroll to Vista):

No no no, when an error pops up, I see the error message IN Japanese. But I don't know if thats at all relevant. How can I put font into Windows Vista?

Here is a visual example of what my problem is:
I transfer a font from a Winrar archive format. I get this once I try transferring it to Fonts.
