Texas Tech shooting

I saw this story break last night with very few details, however, this one is quite confusing apart from it happening in the police station. If you aren't careful you will think that the suspect and the victim are both Hollis Daniels.😛

Just check out this excerpt from https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/c...ech-after-student-busted-for-drugs/ar-AAteuaQ.

The suspect, identified as Hollis A. Daniels, was tackled by a pursuing campus officer and was arrested near Jones AT&T Stadium around 9:30 p.m. CT. The lockdown was lifted shortly afterward.

CBS news confirms that Hollis is the suspect.

It sounds surreal but here it is. The guy was dealing drugs on campus which is something that most people joke about and never expect to actually see.

"upon entering the room -- found evidence of drugs and drug paraphernalia"

Where does it say he was dealing drugs?

Packing a gun in conjunction with possession of drugs typically implies dealing but you're right that none of the articles come right out and say it. The fact that they were conducting a wellness check also infers they'd been tipped off to his activities. If they'd been doing this for other rooms then it would be a random check which is permissible if the campus rules allow for it.
what? Hell, I saw that in at least a half a dozen places when living in the dorms. ...I was there on purpose, every single time. 😀
Only you would say such a thing.😛

1. Thats bullshit you just made that up.

2. Thats bullshit you have no clue what happened and just made that up.

3. Thats bullshit because it's nonsensical and you just made that up.

You don't have any facts to back any of that up.

That's just 14 years of law enforcement experience speaking.

I don't really see a point in speculation here, and I don't really see much of a news story as yet either. What issue does this case illustrate? Maybe some details will emerge later on. I'm personally curious how someone gets brought to the police station without being frisked for the weapon.

That's one crazy !@#$! !@$! to do that inside a station.

See, police are afraid of citizens and shoot first at the fist flinch... because when they interact with an armed public, each second could be their last. An armed public is one that gives police a reason to be scared.

Yea I'm sure they're thrilled with wild wild west gun laws the NRA is producing.
