There are some of us rational people out there that voted for Bush. This simply wasn't as important as other issues to warrant voting for Kerry. But that's neither here nor there, so we'll just stay away from this, say using a 10-ft pole perhaps?

I'm more surprised it passed in Oregon.

At any rate, you have to remember that the rural areas have plenty of voters, and they're generally conservative. I'd bet the amendment wouldn't have passed were the voting limited to metro Atlanta.

So anyone got an idea why they were cross-dressing too? That seems very unnecessary to get the same point across. In typical backlash reaction, the school doesn't 'fix' the problem, they wipe it away and replace it with 'camo day.'

I'm all for it. I'm just going to wait until around 3 AM on friday night/saturday morning. That will be an interesting call from me. And knowing how I am in that state, it will also be angry and stubborn and relentless.
 
Man, when I was in elementary school (about 12 years ago), if a boy told his friends that he wanted to dress up like a girl, he'd have gotten beat to within an inch of his life. Every day was pretty much camo day anyway.

ummm first off i don't see how that is connected with homosexuality in any way - especialyl when the roles are reversed. If they had half of the boys dress up as girls and vice versa then i could see the logical connection...

However what is the merit of cross-dressing in elementary school? I mean you can bable the whole day how it's a gread educational experience the role of the opp. sex in the social setting... but a 6 year old kid will stare at you with a WTF-look on his face. The whole idea of cross dressing day is bit strange...
