The state that wants to secede and also fought covid mitigation efforts is asking Biden for help with covid.

I'd tell them to leave the union and take about 20 other states with them. Let's get this done with and save American democracy for half of us

Fuck him…

The feds have already gave them the vaccine but he pushes executive orders not to push it…. For example

He needs to hold a press conference with fat wolverine Cruz and tell everyone that their own failed polices have put Texans at risk and he will rescind past executive orders and he is going to the feds for socialist help combatting the real threat to Americans …Covid and not immigrants coming over the wall or abortions.

Thank God they have asked for help. Let's hope it arrives as soon as possible.

What did Fox news not tell him the treatments are proving ineffective against Omicron?

it’s amusing watching the guy who took vaccines away from major cities and forced people to scramble to try and get vaccinated bitching about hoarding.

good thing you had more money to build walls though… jackass.

Testing and treatment, NOT for the vaccine, stop your salivating, and if they are eligible for federal funding then why not rather than have to pay for it from their own budgets? anyone can have the vaccine if they want it regardless if TX has blocked the mandates, not the vaccines themselves, which IMO is a good thing as it should be a personal choice and not enforced by anyone :mask:

We can shoot you for spraying bullets into a crowd of people. Why shouldn't we be able to shoot you for spraying deadly germs? :p

So treatment that doesn’t work against the current mutation and testing for after the fact once it’s already been transmitted? Well, that’s just stupid.

Abbott has done everything he can to help the virus spread. He hasn’t touted vaccines, he hasn’t touted masks. He is dead silent on them both unless it’s to say don’t make someone do it.

Honestly, at this point I don’t give a shit if anti-vaxxers get it. I don’t care if they get unbelievably sick. I don’t care if they suffer for the rest of their lives as a result. I care what they are doing to everyone else. Fuck every last one of them.

edit: forgot to add. Fuck everyone who won’t get the vaccine and help stop this bullshit.

Except they've also blocked businesses from requiring it of employees or customers. And banned schools and cities from implementing basic mitigations.

To be a little bit fair Abbot did have a mask mandate until he needed to change the story from the grid failure last year. Since then he has been completely pro-virus, though.

At some point we need to stop providing treatments to antivaxers, if they are morally opposed to the vaccine they should also be morally opposed to any treatments.

From requiring it, mean it is a personal choice, if people wish to mask their kids and have vaccines they are not blocked from doing so they are however blocking them from being forced to do so, big difference.

If they prefer to exercise their choice to avoid vaccination, I think they should be comfortable exercising their responsibility to pay (the cost of increased testing and treatment) for that poor decision. Why should the federal government subsidize their poor choices?

And to be fair, I'm not against the aid itself, I just want Abbot begging for it on camera. He should pay any political consequences given her fought against rational covid measures for political gain.

And that's your opinion, unfortunately that doesn't mean that is what will happen no matter how strongly you feel about it, if it is available to them legally by law, then your opinion means nada, so opinion and law are 2 vastly different things, I don't believe TX have broken any laws by opposing mandates, correct me if I am wrong though and if they are legally able to obtain federal funding for testing and treatment then they should be able to

Of course it's my opinion, who said I was taking a legal position?

No one, just pointing out that legally they will likely be eligible for funding whether or not anyone disagrees with Abbotts stance on mandates and vaccines or not otherwise I don't think he would be asking for it in the 1st place
