I hope no one shoots a looter that is taking water or food. I'm not going to argue against someone shooting a looter breaking into houses/stores for TVs and such but I think water and food are a different situation.

It is really a terrible - almost indefensible - thing to use a gun to commit an act of violence against another human being. I am against that practice.

I am even against the death penalty in all cases.

However, I have no problem shooting an animal that means to harm me or those I care about.

That very well may be an inconsistency, but consistency for consistency's sake is the hobgoblin of small minds.
