LOL. I looked up the company for fun.

I think what's funny is the fact that this happened TWICE lol. I can sorta see how people think they're really helping ISIS, but I really think it's just an insane coincidence. They probably sold more than one truck to the same dealer around the same time frame and they just ended up at ISIS along with same delivery.

What's odd is that a vehicle dealer in North America would be selling vehicles overseas. Seems that would be more expensive than selling within North America.

whats really funny is that this whole debacle actually improved his rating from 1* to 3.5*

Yeah if I were him I would just play along with this whole situation, it's free publicity. He should have an militant theme to his whole company and just make fun of the whole situation.

Imagine what these people would do if they realized that all of those "technicals" trucks you see running around the middle east and africa with mounted machine guns in the back are toyotas. Or that all the warlords ride around in big Mercedes.

This truck must have gone past several people before making it overseas. At least, the salesman, the dealer guy who sent it to auction, and the guy who received it and auctioned it off, all before it left the US. I would have hoped one of them would be smart enough to peel that crap off

They're going to terrorists, I'm sure they really don't care about how people perceive the image of another company. In a way they probably prefer if there are company logos, they look a bit less suspicious. Well, the machine gun kinda gives it away I guess. LOL.

The rooter zip 9000, will blast the crap out of everyone!

Sure, but I doubt the salesman, the guy at the dealer who sent it to auction, and the guy who auctioned it off probably didn't know that's where it was headed. Probably the first guy who knew that was the guy who bought it and sent it to Turkey, if even that guy.

Dealer had an obligation to remove those decals, even if not in writing just common sense not knowing where the vehicle would wind up and O M F G how F-ing moronic can people be to think this guy shipped his truck to ISIS. These brain-dead assholes that are calling him make Apollo "hoaxers" look like smart folk.

Anyone who watches the news has seen the stories about the Toyotas.
Instead of removing the decals isn't it easier to assume that whoever buys the truck to drive it will deal with them?

The dealer had no legal obligation to remove the logos. And the dealer had no idea where the truck would end up when it was (most likely) sold at a giant auction of trade-ins. There are probably thousands of commercial vehicles exactly like it sold every year with the old logos still intact. They probably don't even wash or vacuum the vehicles whenever they're deemed poor candidates for the dealer's used lot - they just get loaded on a truck and sent off to the cattle auction.

Smart enough to realize the guy wasn't actually supporting ISIS. Not quite smart enough to realize the majority of phone calls were probably /b/tards doing it for the lulz?

yea every one of those idiots who harassed this man should get publicly shamed.
 Despicable indeed. People actually thought the person who had owned that truck gave it to ISIS? EVEN IF you did know that for a FACT, why even call the person and threaten them? People like that need a good kick in the fuckin teeth.

If I had a business that required a truck, the first thing I'd do is REMOVE THE LOGO from any asset I am selling, especially somethign a major as a truck that can be driven around. Imagine if the truck was sold to some dumbass high school kids and caused an accident by joy-riding. Sure, you are off the hook legally because you have a bill of sale but your name is still on the truck! Thats your business and your reputation to protect. Plumber was so lackadaisically stupid to sell that truck with his logo.
