I don't have a comment. The pic speaks for itself.

I am surprised the cops didn't drive up, scream "drop your weapons" and open up on them.

You got owned so just admit it.

He's a coward and will keep spouting BS. What a pathetic life he must live to be bothered by this.

I actually read about the deception just before I saw the thread and I couldn't believe someone would be stupid enough to fall for it especially considering the angle of the picture.

And now we have the 3rd person in the thread going for the self ownage award.

To be fair he has a point. The police seem to have a shoot first ask questions later attitude lately. But the irony in all of this is the fact he expects the state to shoot people who are being peaceful. Like it is a given the state will resort to violence in a situation like this without even thinking. The state that many expect will protect them.

Post all the evidence you want of these folks breaking the law:
Texas is not a traditional open carry state. They also do not allow open carry, or even printing, by those who have a concealed carry permit.

They even go beyond by outright brandishing and posing for a picture doesn't excuse it.

But... These people are not open carrying per Texas law. They are also not brandishing which is defined as handling or displaying a weapon in a threatening manner.

I suggest you get familiar with what open carry means in Texas... as well many other states before you render judgement.

The police were there monitoring the situation. Here's an article that surely reports something quite different than what the OP wants everyone to believe. It appears one of the moms took a picture of the open carry people with their the person's phone.

Here's the police's stance on the situation.

Police won’t file a report because it’s technically legal. Spoke with an Officer Burns. These things are handled by the DA level. The DA gives guidance on whether to arrest or not. What the officer said is that they monitor these groups, follow them and so on. They were at the parking lot when this occurred monitoring them. They’ve been told by DA that unless the gun is unstrapped from the guy, they can’t charge them. They’ve tried and failed. Officer Burns said I can use her name and share that info publicly to make citizens feel better. She said the legislation is going to have to change.

I see a group photo of a bunch of idiots who think showing up armed outside of a restaurant is the proper response to 4 women gabbing over lunch.

Why did one of the women take of photo for one of the guys using his phone?

Also they were in a mall parking lot and didn't enter the restaurant.

I think it's funny that your whole editorialization was based upon "the picture speaking for itself". Then someone posted a picture of the exact scene from a different angle which completely negates what your picture was apparently "saying." That is thread ownage. The topic doesn't even really matter. Your thread was the equivalent of an optical illusion. Is she spinning clockwise or counterclockwise? The pic speaks for itself.

Wow..that was debunked quickly. 😀
It looks to me like she's spinning clockwise on left heel.I can't make it look any other way for myself, either. :$

No, the photo from the front doesn't "speak for itself." Lost in all of this "They were just innocently posing for a group photo" nonsense is the question:

How is it that this group of 40 gun-toting individuals just happened to be posing outside the restaurant where a gun-control group was meeting?

And were they loaded weapons? Why?

I think the answers to THESE questions "speak for themselves."

An unloaded weapon is a useless weapon. They should always be loaded all the time.

I think it does actually. Bunch of gun nutters... absolutely no doubt about it. Wouldn't want to live within a country mile of any of them.

Useless for what? Intimidating gun-control advocates?

An unloaded weapon is a useless weapon in that it can no longer be used as a weapon since it's not loaded.

It's common knowledge and saying among people that know anything about firearms.

It's a perfectly legitimate form of protest.
