I went to Target in Baldwin Park, CA and I saw the TI Graphlink for clearance for $11.90, when I rang it up it was for $3.90. So I bought 10 of them. It seems like that TI discontinued these for a newer version that does exactly the same things just different design. You guys should grab them when you can. These usually sell $20 retail. I also heard from a friend that TI is discontinuing the TI-92 graphing calculator and he bought his for clearance at Office Max for $50.00. Keep your eyes open for that!!!

Are you talking about the black link cable or the grey one? I'd understand if the grey was being discontinued because it connects with some 25 pin serial port that most PCs don't have.

Which OfficeMax did your friend find the TI-92 at? I'm also in SoCal. PM me or ICQ me or something with some info. Thanks

rodney174: would you be willing to sell one of those link cables? I REALLY need one and I can't afford $20 right now. If you are willing to then PM me or e-mail me or something :)

build one yourself. all it takes is a few resistors and zener diodes... plus a serial plug and a jack (1.5mm?)

Sorry, gave them away to all my college buddies,I'll try to get some more tomorrow. Hopefully you guys can try going to a Target and try getting one. Again this one is the black link cable for windows. The one for MACs are grey, but I didn't see any of those.

NutBucket,
The TI-92 my friend got it was at the Office Max in the City of Industry, i don't know if they have anymore, I would call them first before I go. The bad thing about getting the TI-92 is that you have to purchase the plus module for it so you can get more out of it. Everyone in my school has the TI-89, it is equivalent to the TI-92 Plus which is the latest that TI is selling. It is very hard to find the pluse module because TI has stopped producing it and selling it 6 months ago.

I bought one a couple of week back for $3.90. The Target where I was at, their price on the link was dropping everytime I visited them. Last time I check, it was selling for 3.24. Probably lower by now if they have them.

blah, building one can be a pain. My serial worked on an old 386 laptop and 486 compaq.. but no.. it wouldn't work on my new system. I bought it "open box" at best buy for $7 a long time ago tho. It really wasn't open, but the back was slightly ripped off.

the newer version of the ti link comes with version 2 of the software and it sells for like $14 at bestbuy when on sale, so this isnt that great of a deal

Well considering you can DL the new software from TIs site, and you do the math 3.90 vs 14.00 hrmm...... Seems like a good deal to me

Am I missing something? I see everyone talking about the Graph Link when the TI 92 is suppose to be 50.00. Why is no one talking about that!

We tried to get some at our local Office Max and they did not have them marked down. Anyone else have any luck?
