Texas HoldEm Question

split pot... if pot is odd we usually let extra chip ride... unless it can be broken by other chips in which case it is broken to the smallest denomination and usually either conceded by one player or left on the table for the next pot

Gambling on the internet is an even bigger suckers game than gambling in Vegas.

If the OP were playing online, he wouldn't have needed to ask who would win if 2 players both had a 10-high straight. Whichever software was being used to play would determine who would get the pot (in this case, both players would split the pot).

Pwned.

kicker doesnt apply here as both players are using 5 cards to determine their best hand, so there is no '6th' card to determine a winner. sometimes you can go by suit, as some suits are better than others (hearts being the best, spades being the worst in some cases). if the pot is odd and cannot be split evenly, then decide amongst yourselves.

card suits have higher values than others.... spades are the highest, but thats all i remember

Not in Holdem

Yeah, in hold 'em, suit doesn't matter. You just split the pot, as everyone else has said.

also, remember its only a 5 card hand. if you both have straights to the 10, any unused cards in your hand dont matter.
if the pot is odd, my friends and i usually leave the remainder in for the next hand.
